Feature #4145
Missing serviceID on Channels page
0%
Description
When trying to tidy up services it's almost impossible as I've no way of knowing the service ID.
I believe the service ID should be added as another 'slash' option.
I am happy and volunteering to do the dev for this (I can actually do it as opposed to pretending I know how as it would help me greatly, but posting here first to determine if there's a hidden option to enable this OR if I'm going about it the wrong way.
See attached. Numerous entries for Channel 4 - All with different service ID's.

The service IDs are available via the services tab, it's a column that's hidden by default..
If you really want it shown in the Channels tab I don't see why it can't be added, don't forget to factor in multiple services assigned to one channel.
It's nice to see others offering their time to help improve Tvheadend :). If you feel you can help out more please do :).

I understand it can be shown in the services tab - Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way...
But when trying to tidy up channels there doesn't seem to be an easy way?
Take the below scenario:
- I've got 8 listings for Channel 4
- I know the SID's of the channels I want to remove.
- From the channels page I can't do that as it doesn't list the SID's so we don't know which ones to remove?

That won't do anything in this case as the services are all live, they're just regional variants (mainly for adverts).
@Scott.
You can use the Services tab to remove the link.. So, select the services/channels you want to unlink (use ctrl + shift/click to select multiple). Press the edit button, on the Edit dialog, tick the checkbox before the Channel field, then using the drop-down for the channel field uncheck the checkbox for the shown channel & hit save.
With any luck the channels that did have a service associated should now be shown as "{name-not-set}" in the Channels tab. you can then just mass delete those..

- Status changed from New to Rejected
Mark is right. The channel might group more services and the 'Service ID' is per service, so the channel grid should not provide this. The service grid offers the management.
