Description

Hi,

I run Kodi v16.1 on a Raspberry Pi 3 running the OSMC stable build. My tv tuner card is a Hauppauge HVR 950Q. The card works great, but I've never seen the signal quality and S/N readouts work correctly -- no info/bar is displayed in the debug overlay in Kodi nor in the web interface of Tvheadend. This is not an urgent matter, but I thought I would report it anyway. Please see details per attached, thanks.

Respectfully,

Probably a linux driver problem. My Hauppauge HVR 1800 also does not show signal and S/N. If I use azap to tune a channel, the signal and snr are both always fixed at 0190x (400). Dvbsnoop gives the same results. In Tvheadend status tab I get "unknown" for both. But in windows I was able to get the signal info using various apps..

BTW - my 1800 uses different drivers than your 950Q

Forgot to ask if you tried the "force old status" under Configuration->TV adapters->Parameters?
It did not make any difference for me...

Thanks for the feedback. Another card of mind in my old system, a Hauppauge HVR 1600, works fine with openSUSE and Kodi/Tvheadend.

I have not tried "force old status" and will give it a try.

Check with Femon status when channel tuned with option "human readable output (-H)"
some devices give more symbol in values.
