Description

Hello out there, I am a noob for Raspberry Pi3, Openelec, Tvheadend and everything else.
So far, I have managed to install TVHeadend, setup my 950q Tuner, get the EPG working and get some of the channels to display, but other channels won't display and I can't figure out why.
When I access the HTS TVHeadend via Webpage (over Wireless) and hit the Play button it streams right to my computer.
But when I try to access the same channel on the RPI3 it tells me that there is no signal, or the Tuner can't be found. Other channels work, I even recorded a program on one of the ones that did work though I can't figure out where the system put it.
I don't think it is the fault of the tuner or the station, the stations in question are strong signals and I couldn't stream them if the tuner was at fault.
That has led me to believe it is a frontend problem on the device but I don't know what it is. Also, when I watch some channels the "Under-voltage" square comes up, but not on other channels. Some channels that worked before don't seem to to work now.
Please help me!!!
Eric

1. update to a maintained distribution (you are using an "very" old version - OE is more or less dead)
2. update to the latest Tvheadend 4.1.2200+
3. buy an proper power supply (rainbow square = to less power)

I am still pretty new to RPI3. Can you elaborate on how to make the updates to the Pi and TVH? Would I have to remove Openelec in order to install an updated version? I couldn't even find a Repository that had the new TVH version. As for the Power Supply I found one on Amazon that is 5V and 2.5A specifically made for RPI3, I will get one as soon as I can.
Thanks.

Just update to LibreELEC (for RPi the beta version is okay - 7.90.x with Kodi 17). There is an Tvh "4.2" available (including debugging option if necessary) - btw you can also run OSMC but there you have to compile Tvh at your own.

Okay, I have updated to LibreELEC and I have purchased a new AC plug at the proper voltage, so at least I don't get the "under-voltage" alarm anymore. I don't believe the problem is with the backend, I am able to stream LiveTV to other computers and for the most part it works fine. I have been unable to update the Front end beyond 2.2.15 becuase I can't figure out github and I don't know what I can do to try to improve the video on the Pi itself.
Please help!!!
