Description

At present when you configure a DVB-S(2) tuner in TVHeadEnd one of the available settings for LNB type is "C-band", which I assume supports a local oscillator frequency of 5150 MHz and voltage-based switching. Recently, however, some sellers are now offering C-band LNB's with dual local oscillator frequencies of 5150 MHz for vertical channels and 5750 MHz for horizontal channels. The reasons for this are explained in a document at https://www.dishtv.co.nz/images/stories/Help_Files/DualLOCBANDLNBspecs.pdf but I note that most of the Chinese manufacturers are now also selling these LNB's - here are a few examples from different manufacturers:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/High-gain-C-band-dish-LNB-5150-5750MHz-dual-pole-Twin-output-Low-Loss/32307534165.html

There are many more similar models but while I understand that this type of bandstacking (is that the correct term?) has been used with DBS satellite LNBs for quite some time, it has only fairly recently come to C-band LNB's, and as far as I know TVHeadEnd doesn't yet support these. And of course I have not yet purchased one because as far as I know it won't work with TVHeadEnd, so it would not benefit me. My request is that you please create a new LNB type, "C-band dual L.O." or "C-band 5150/5750" or something similar to support these. Please understand that I cannot provide you with any more technical information than what I already have, because I don't own one of these, because there is no sense buying one if it won't work with TVHeadEnd. However, if these are the future of C-band LNB's then it might be a good idea to think about supporting them. Thank you.
