Description

Hello,

I am using HTS Tvheadend and since yesterday I cant watch any DVBT Tv anymore. My XMBC "Openelec" doesnt show a picture anymore, it just says "buffering". I did not change any hardware or software. I can access Tvheadend via webbrowser. There I can see under "Status" and "Active subscriptions" that my XBMC Media Center is using the Service "Zarlink MT352 DVB-T". But then it shows in the tab "Errors" a an increasing number. I hope I provided all necessary information. Please help me get this running again. Thx

This sounds like a hardware issue, in fact it sounds exactly the same problem I get once in a while where the tuner just completely dies without warning.

  • Have you tried stopping Tvheadend then hotplugging the stick?
  • Have you tried watching the debug output while playing the stream with something like VLC? You may receive an error along the lines of "service instance is bad, reason: No input detected".
  • Checked all cables and signal?

I've set this as need feedback for now, however don't be surprised if it gets rejected as TBH this doesn't sound like a bug with Tvheadend.

Can you open a stream via your browser?

I use a PCI TV card. Im not sure what the debug output is :-) I get a message after a couple of minutes like "no input detected". I checked all cables and in the webbrowser I see that it has a signal.
When I try to open a stream in chrome I get "Embedded player could not be started. You are probably missing VLC Mozilla plugin for your browser." How can chrome miss a Mozilla plugin?

All the sudden it started working again today, for now I can watch tv like before. But the problem might occure again.
