All episode info is exported through the HTSP protocol - https://github.com/tvheadend/tvheadend/blob/master/src/htsp_server.c#L889-L928 .

It seems that the subtitle is missing in htsp?

OK. The subtitle field was added in v3.9-2772-g8dbc38d .
