Bug #2668
autorec recordings are also done on disabled regional sister / twin channels (unwanted)
100%
Description
Hey folks,
Ron L from the forum told advised me to create this as a bug:
I use "autorec" very much. Our channels are sending f.i. the "Tatort" and "SOKO" crime series very often on the main as well as on the sister channels. So I omit the channel name and just record "(^Tatort)|(^SOKO)|(^Kommissar)". This causes to record it on channes "ZDF", "Das Erste", "WDR", "hr fernsehen", "ZDFneo", "NDR FS xxx" and so on. Nice feature!
But there is a pain in one detail:On our DVB-T network in the Hannover Area, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony), we have one channel, that comes in 4 regional flavours:
- "NDR FS NDS" for my area,
- "NDR FS SH*" for next north state,
- "NDR FS MVP*" for next northeast state and
- "NDR FS HH*" for Hamburg.
All 4 Channels are sending almost the same, except the local news. In the prime time, they send absolutely the same, with same names and so on.
So, with my setup I'll get 4 identical recording of a movie, recorded at exactly the same time from the same bouquet (see attached screenshot 1).
To prevent this, I disabled the 3 almost-identical-sister channels under "Configuration | Channel|EPG | Channels", Enabled Column (see screenshot 2).
but it will still record from this channels!
I would highly appreciate to suppress all channels I have suppressed the described way.
Or to get an config option wheter or not I wand to autorec also from "unselected" channels.
Another way to solve this without making other users sad, could be to give a list of channels in the edit box of the autorec function. Recently, one can only select a single channel (or an empty string with the meaning 'all channels') here.
thank you and keep up the good work, tvheadend made my 10 years old dream come true!

I checked you code diffs. Looks good to me.
Don't know, when ubuntu does pull your changes. But also don't know when I'll find time to compile it by myself (since there are some ubuntu 14.04 issues with ./configure on my machine), so ... uhm ... I think, I can wait some days to get check it. I'll give a feedback, once I have it.
thx,
Daisy
