Description

It seems that someway the 1080 hd streams from tvh is cousing my cubox-i4pro (openelec stable helix) to completly lockup/crash/freeze. Sd content is 100% stable. HD is working on my x86 build for other clients

iam not able to grab logs from the cubox when this happends as its completly unresponsive. (ofcourse deinterlacing is off)
http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=211289&page=3 <-- NOT IN USE

switching to vdr backend for my cubox and the issues is gone, (this indicates that there is something wrong with the reciving streams from tvh) what i have noticed is the crash on cubox is eaxctly when there is some CCR error in the log from tvh, ccr error does NOT need to be related to the reciving HD tuner,a separate tuner for a different client recives ccr error that couses the hd stream to be malformed in some ways that cubox crashes (cubox is very picky with hd content, hardware decoded)

so my conclusion is that when reciving ccr errors for hd stream, the stream is malformed in some ways that cubox decoders cant handle and then couses a crash.

what does vdr do to their hd streams that makes the cubox handle ccr errors from that particular backend?

It's client fault. We can probably drop the incomplete/malformed frames, but I don't think that's the right way, because partial information in these frames might be ok..
