There is already tag filter in ACL... Note that you may define multiple ACLs for one user - if you use same username and password for all those entries, then the rights are "merged", so the user can have access to multiple tags or so...

and what we can do there
answer nothing
lets se real example
channel with following tags
Tag 1. Operator
tag 2. channel type /music, documentary, movies, sport, porn, cooking, etc./
and if client do not want to see in channel list programs with tag "porn"
except to put that channel after som bigger channel number and limit by this criteria there is no other solution
but then no other filtering possible

aka in moment there is only drop-dawn menu
should be a drop-dawn with select as on channel tags creation

different concept:
eg internal tags: Basic / Full / Adult

Channels everybody should get flag with all 3 tags (I use this for my Kids eg),
Channels Kids should not see but are not adult content flag with Full and Adult
Adult channels flag with Adult only

now you can put each user in one of these group

agree but filtering is very limited by type of tagging
need to manual tag 150 channels because five of them is unwanted
and if also want to remove HD channels and leave SD only
then channel should have 10-15 tags for this to work

more easy is to have two list of allowed/disabled tags per user
