They can be added to record programming that I do not choose the channel. (Digital Video Recorder -> Upcoming / Current Recordings -> Add -> Add Upcoming Recording)

It's ok. The user might select the channel later.

That's not OK. If there is no channel, then the status is invalid. Later, it is not possible to select the channel.

OK, Fixed in v3.9-1967-g5e0908c . The DVR entry without associated channel should appear in the upcoming tab.
