Description

Hello,

I've checked the internal tvHeadend driver how is working with GIT version 954d980. In the first step I'm happy because it looks very well.
But when i want to swicht to another channel on my raspberry pi with openelec 4.2.1 the connection to tvheadend break and i have to stop the stream, wait about 10-20sec till the connection is reestablished and then start it again. from time to tim I have this effect also when I want to start a channel directly without switching.
With the external dvb driver for tvHeadend all works well.

TVHeadend version: 954d980
Openelec: 4.2.1

It's impossible to tell what is going on here, but it sounds like tvheadend is either crashing or there is an issue with your dvb adapter.

To figure out what's going on, you could look at the debug output inside the system log pane on the webui on another machine (Click the clog wheel to enable debug after you've expanded the system log pane by clicking the double chevron in the bottom right of the webui ~ see screenshot) then attempt to view a service on your xbmc frontend.

You should then see some output in the log which should help you figure out what's going on, you can then post it here and someone will be able to tell you what's wrong and provide possible solutions, but I think you might get a faster answer from the openelec devs by posting on their forums or asking on IRC.

Sorry I had not the time to show in detail about this problem....

With the dvb linux driver it works well... when i switch of this driver and enable the tvheadend driver the frontend openelec lost the connection to tvheadend. In the log there is no more information!

I had not the time to show deeper at the moment, so you can have a look about this or close the ticket and will use the linux driver...

thanks in advance
Frank

OK. Setting as invalid (there is no close option), feel free to update this issue though.
