Hauppage HVR-900H
Added by Edward Barnes about 11 years ago
When I try to use my HVR-900H-930C on my Pi using Tvheadend in the UK, it correctly finds channels and the EPG data, but fails to find video/audio data. When I use the web page to display the status, it shows "testing" for about 20 seconds and then "bad". The device works correctly when connected to a Windows PC. Has anyone any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong?

Have just noticed that the "Preferred CA PD" column on the "services" tab of the DVB adaptor report is always zero. Unfortunately this column (along with several others) is not mentioned in the wiki. Is this related to my problem? There are also several options on the general tab not mentioned in the wiki (e.g. "Use SID as channel number during mapping") so perhaps I have got one of these mis-set.

Have found a couple of oddities in the log files which may be relevant:
Var log:
ip_tables: (C) 2000-2006 Netfilter Core Team
Jan 1 01:00:14 openelec user.notice Boot: ### Wait for udevadm settle to finish ###
Jan 1 01:00:14 openelec daemon.err connmand903: iptables support missing error 2 (No such file or directory)
Jan 1 01:00:14 openelec daemon.warn connmand903: Failed to flush table 'mangle': Invalid argument
Jan 1 01:00:15 openelec daemon.err connmand903: iptables support missing error 2 (No such file or directory)
Jan 1 01:00:15 openelec daemon.warn connmand903: Failed to install iptables rules: Invalid argument
Kernel Log:

[ 16.438831] smsc95xx 1-1.1:1.0 eth0: hardware isn't capable of remote wakeup
I think I was wrong thinking it was collecting EPG data correctly - it appears to come from the internet.
