dvb-rewrite branch
Added by Hanspeter Müller about 11 years ago
Hi all,
i'm using the new dvb-rewrite branch on DVB-C, it's working very well, the old version (stable ubuntu package) missed about 30% of the Services, and half of the remaining 70% didnt work, and my two tuners didnt even seem to receive the same Services (some only on tuner one, some only on tuner 2). Love the new multiple-tuner-concept, phantastic work
I'm having some problems/questions, what is the status of this new branch? Is it acceptable to open bugs for it, or should i wait until it gets a bit more stabilized? Maybe someone can give me some hints if the following things are actually bugs, something i'm doing wrong on my end (stable was a package, dvb-rewrite i compiled from source) or simply "temporary collateral damage" due to the heavy groundwork:
- I can't get the thing to log anything (-s on commandline, "Debug to syslog" and "Debug trace" ticked), neighter on syslog or nor in the webui, does this have to be activated with a compile option?? (Worked fine on stable)
- With the stable, XBMC updated the channellist immediatly when pressing save in the webgui (after changing name, channel number, logo etc), with dvb-rewrite i have to restart XBMC (could not find a way to tell XBMC to update)
- On EPG -> Watch TV, the "select channel" list is empty, same as the DVR -> Automatic
Recorder -> Channel list
- I'm unable to receive IPTV-Multicast streams from VLC like on stable, what is a valid IPTV-URL, simply the multicast ip, or something like udp://239.1.1.1?
- How do i have to configure the xmltv-grabber? On stable there was a field on the Channel Tab to select the epg-source, but this is gone on dvb-rework...
