Pinnacle PCTV 310i: w_scan find all muxes and channels, tvheadend only 2 good muxes.

Added by Mirko Panciom about 11 years ago

Hi to all.
I have a debian (SID) with the Pinnacle PCTV 310i DVB-T card and a Hauppage WinTV-HVR4000 DVB-S/S2 installed.
All the cards are recognized by the kernel and the firmware seems to be OK.

TVHeadend work very well with the Hauppage and find a lot of channels on the Hotbird satellite.

On the PCTV only find 3 mux: "RAI" and "Televenezia" is good for frequency and a "RAI" at 1,6GHz(?????)...
"w_scan" correctly find a lot of mux and channels.
I have also tried with dvb tools form CLI and PCTV card seeems to work correctly (for example streaming a channels in Multicast on my LAN).

I have search for a delay parameter on tuning in tvheadend but i find only "grace period" (on the DVB config) and i don't know if is correct for me.

I have installed tvheadend from apt repository: deb http://apt.tvheadend.org/unstable wheezy main
Current version is: 3.5.243~g2b64995~wheezy

Attached there are:
grep -i adapter0 daemon.log > adapter0.log
w_scan &> w_scan.log

Thank you to all tvheadend team for this great piece of software and thank you to anyone that will help me.
Mirko

PS: sorry for the question... but why tvheadend not use w_scan for searching mux and channels??? why reinventing the wheel??
