Tvheadend

Does tvheadend have support for the hdhomerun without using the dvbhdhomerun driver? ie a direct use of the hdhomerun? I ask because I seem to be getting a failure of the dvbhdhomerun driver with dmesg filling up with "No buffer space for hdhomerun control device" ad nauseam. Googling that particular error doesn't lead far and before I spend hours playing with different kernels etc I wonder if there is some easier path...
