Import channels.conf?
Added by Michael Armstrong over 11 years ago
Hi!
My impression is that this has come up before, but I wasn't able to find how to import a working channels.conf directly into the configuration of tvheadend. If I use scan to generate channels.conf for Comcast in the U.S. (Bay Area), I get something that looks like this:
[0001]:177000000:QAM_256:1984:1985:1
[0002]:177000000:QAM_256:2048:2049:2
[0003]:177000000:QAM_256:2112:2113:3
[0004]:177000000:QAM_256:2176:2177:4
[0005]:177000000:QAM_256:2240:2241:5
[0006]:177000000:QAM_256:2304:2305:6
[0007]:177000000:QAM_256:2368:2369:7
[0008]:177000000:QAM_256:2432:2433:8
i.e. no channel names (if I'm not missing anything here)... Also, mapping DVB to channels in the TV adaptors -> General tab does not generate entries in the Channels tab. I can use scte65scan to generate a channels.conf as well, like:
2-KTVU:177000000:QAM_256:8192:8192:1
3-KNTV:261000000:QAM_256:8192:8192:7972
4-KRON:177000000:QAM_256:8192:8192:2
5-KPIX:177000000:QAM_256:8192:8192:3
6-KICU:261000000:QAM_256:8192:8192:7973
7-KGO:177000000:QAM_256:8192:8192:4
8-KTSF:177000000:QAM_256:8192:8192:8
9-KQED:177000000:QAM_256:8192:8192:5
10-KTEH:261000000:QAM_256:8192:8192:7975
I'm not sure if this would work any better, but I'd like to give it a try... is there a way to import this directly into tvheadend?
Thanks!
Mike
