[SOLVED]tvheadend 3.1 and 4 DVB-T muxes to both tuners?

Added by Sami Savolainen about 12 years ago

Hi!

I have Hauppauge TD-500 twin tuners DVB-T PCI-card, which works great in Linux generally. When I configure DVB-T tuners, tvheadend see both tuners ok, but how I should configure 4 muxes to both tuners correct way? I tried to tune muxes to first tuner and save them. Then there is button "copy DVB muxes to another tuner" or something like this. I pushed that button and I chose another tuner from popup window. Then I save configuration in second tuner. I can see 4 muxes in both tuners.

But then I try to record TV-programs from 2 different muxes parallel, tvheadend says, that "tuner is already reserved" and recording setup will be aborted. How should I do this correctly? I would be appreciated of your help.

Hi,

This setup you describe seems the correct way to do it (copy the muxes).

Did you "map channels" for both devices?
Did both devices finish there initial scan (Muxes awaiting initial scan 0?

Also check if you can watch tv from different devices at the same time ( since it might also have to do with the recording-scheduling, and not with the muxes or devices.).
The systemlog ( down in the screen) shows what adapters are used when watching tv.

Alex.

Hi Alex,

Thanks, now I got both tuners working and I can record two muxes parallel. The key issue were to "map channels" under both tuners sheet.
