(solved) TVHeadend as Docker Container: How to reset password
Added by Max Müller 10 months ago
Hello,
I have installed TV headend as a docker container like described at https://github.com/linuxserver/docker-tvheadend
I have tried to change the user name, now I can not log in. I have not setup a password, but now username and password are asked to login.
How can I reset the password in the tv headend docker version?

Solution found here: https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/Faq
I have added the option --noacl in the file docker-compose.yaml
and started the container again. Now with no login...
Problem solved.

Be careful not to expose your installation to the outside world. You’ve now no security on your TVH server. Have you checked out this thread https://tvheadend.org/boards/5/topics/2670

I have used the option --noacl only for about 30 sec. to set a new password.
