Recordings scheduled for 3,5 hours, but it records 11,5 hours

I often experience that even though I set a TV program to record for 3,5 hours, TVH records a whopping 30+GB file that lasts almost 12 hours. What could the reasons be for this, so I have somewhere to start investigating?

The duration shown by Kodi is 570 minutes though and the 34GB file also seems to indicate this.
