Daylight Savings?

Following the above, I had the EPG on my RPi3 backend (webgui) shows as an hour later. The pi time was fine, so I switched the channel to 'UTC+1' and tried running the OTA update. Nothing happened, reboot, still nothing. Several hours of trawl later, I stopped the process, deleted the epggrab db file, restarted - still no change.
The next day (there is an overnight scheduled OTA update) everything is correct.
My question is - how do you clear the EPG completely and force a reload? I understand the EPG is held as an in-memory file.
Update: It has reverted after 2 days to the "1 hour ahead" position. I stopped and deleted epggrab, and everything in epggrab/otamux directory - that definitely killed the EPG store. I switched back to "UTC" channel time and did an OTA update.
Not a lot appears on the debug log to show progress on this, but the correct timed EPG finally appeared about 5 minutes later and it still correct this morning.
I would REALLY like to know how this software chooses a time source to merge with the OTA.
