TBS6981 works perfectly :-0

After my previous failed attempts to get a blackgold card working I sold it and got a TBS6981
I can report that after a days use the card is functioning exactly as expected.
I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 with 3.0.0-12 Kernel on a HP Microserver with the latest git build compiled by me.
I'm in the UK so after finding the amount of muxes added automatically to be to unwieldily I've trimmed them down to just the free to air channels as listed here http://en.kingofsat.net/freqs.php?&pos=28.2E&standard=All&ordre=freq&filtre=Clear&aff=list This has left me with about 750 services which I'd trimmed down to just under 100 channels
Thanks to the TVheadend guys for a great product and don't ever ever buy a blackgold card, TBS all the way
Si

Hello Simon
I don't find the TBS9861 but I look at TBS6981. Just tested Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2 but the sensitivity seems to be rather low. Adjusted my dish with instruments and got 9-12 dB C/N on most transponders (Astra 1N) but Hauppaugge only get the most strongest ones...Do you have a feeling of the sensitivity for TBS cards ?
LinuxTv also state that WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2 is supported directly !? But it took some time to find proper driver etc...

My bad, you are correct my card if the TBS6981 (I've updated my posts )
I'm in the UK and have used 2 feeds from my sky dish without making any changes to it.
As for sensitivity, I get 100% on all feeds all the times without fail :-)
Hope that helps
