How can I setup tvheadend in Slovenia
Added by Tomaž Žagar about 3 years ago
Hi,
I have bought a USB to DVB-T/T2/C tuner and it gets recognized all good and well. This is my first time using TVHeadEnd, and when I come to the muxes part, there are no predefined muxes for Slovenia. I don't know what to do from that point onward. I would like some help from you. How can I set up? Is it even possible? What even are muxes?
Any help or info is appreciated

Use "--Generic--: auto-Default"
and enable network scan
Attach network to tuner.

Can you please guide me through it? When using the wizard, under "Pre-defined muxes" there is no "--Generic--: auto-Default".

I'm using Tvheadend 4.2.8-34~g24a2f59e9.
I'm using an Astrometa TV tuner - DVB-C network. I managed to manually add a mux with the frequency and symbol rate from my provider. Some channels are working semi-okay, and others are horrible - you can't even watch them. If I plug the same antenna cable into a TV, it works fine. Does that mean that the Astrometa tuner is bad?
I keep getting invalid checksums - example:
2021-08-10 09:56:24.186 tbl-eit: eit: 322MHz in DVB-C Network: invalid checksum (len 2474, errors 3)
or:
2021-08-10 09:59:59.434 mpegts: 562MHz in DVB-C Network - tuning on Sony CXD2837ER DVB-T/T2/C demodulator #0 : DVB-C #1 2021-08-10 09:59:59.438 subscription: 00BC: "scan" subscribing to mux "562MHz", weight: 6, adapter: "Sony CXD2837ER DVB-T/T2/C demodulator #0 : DVB-C #1", network: "DVB-C Network", service: "Raw PID Subscription" 2021-08-10 10:00:05.008 mpegts: 562MHz in DVB-C Network - scan no data, failed 2021-08-10 10:00:05.019 subscription: 00BC: "scan" unsubscribing
I already ordered an Xbox One TV Tuner from amazon.de: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00E97HVJI
What do you suggest?

Who will guess until this post that you setup DVB-C?
Xbox tuner is complicated to install on Linux, be prepared.

Sorry for not mentioning that in the first place.

Oh, I didn't know that - I'm new to this. Is there any guide anywhere? Did I screw myself over with that? Which tuner do you recommend for DVB-C?
