tvheadend deadlock on bad signal
Added by giaur giaur over 12 years ago
Hello,
If there is very bad and noisy signal, tvheadend completly dies. It stops to work, cpu load is 100% and it don't even respond to killall. The only way is kill it using kill -9 and run again. I have recent version compiled from source and it9135 as dvb-t tuner.
The log messages are something similar to this:
Warning: Transport error indicator, 300 duplicate log lines suppressed
Warning: Continuity counter error, 1934 duplicate log lines suppressed
... and after max 2 minutes of flooding with this, tvheadend is completly dead - not responding to anything (even killall and kill commands), not streaming anything, nothing is displayed on webui interface etc. Only "kill-9" can kill it in this case.
I think this is serious bug. because it makes everything very unstable if signal quality is wrong, also - any kind of temporary interferences can make tvheadend dead.
