No audio in web interface

Added by Rainer Dorsch over 3 years ago

Hi,

I upgraded to latest master of tvheadend and now it seems audio is gone, when playing streams with the built-in player :-/ Video is still displayed.

Playing with an external player (e.g. vlc) or streaming via HTSP still works with audio.

Does anybody have an idea what is causing this?

Thanks
Rainer

Browser problem not TVH one.

Are there any specific browser requirements? If yes, is there a list of requirements?

It is the same firefox browser as before the upgrade of tvheadend on the server. Did the browser requirements change?

I tried three different browsers:

firefox: worked before, now audio, but video is displayed
chromium: does not even display the user interface properly (just the blue bars at the top and bottom, no text). I suspect it is because chromium recently blocked http sites quite heavily
konqueror: same behavior as firefox

Needless to say that all three browsers play webradios without any issue (e.g. https://swr3.de/ )

Thanks
Rainer

FWIW I have my browser set to start VLC to display links from the web interface. Works fine. I mainly use it for troubleshooting though.
