ATSC predefined mux missing
Added by Lisa White over 4 years ago
Sorry to be a pain guys but I am now installing my local OTA. I installed a new hard drive (mint 19.3) and updated to stable version 4.3.0~pre+201911281811. I noticed that the ATSC-t and the other pre-defined muxes are missing from this version. I copied the olds ones into /user/share/tvheadend/data and they still will not appear.
Can anyone explain how to get this functioning?
Thanks
Lisa

This is a copy and paste of the tvh versions HTS Tvheadend 4.3.0~pre+201911281811-0~built202003190219~git221c29b~ubuntu18.04.1
There is no dvb scan files in the hts directory. What would be the names and the path that these files would be stored in?

Thanks for the information saen acro. I spent too much time trying to fix this and decided to reinstall the version you had posted. I am in the process of setting everything up from scratch. The predefined muxes are present and my OTA is up and running. I will be working on the epg and transferring my videos into tvheadend. I am guessing that my other issues were related to that incomplete version. I will keep you posted. Thank you for being kind and understanding to my newbie skills. Your help is well appreciated on my end. I enjoy learning and hopefully someday I can others like you.
Have a good night,
Lisa

For future reference the scan tables can be pulled in while compiling and building a tvheadend package which is probably the default configuration or they can be left out. Depends on what the package builder chooses.
If they are left out you can install the dtv-scan-tables package from your distro repo.
TVH developers also have a fork of dtv-scan-tables which allows us to add updates without being at the mercy of linuxtv developers. This is located here...
https://github.com/tvheadend/dtv-scan-tables
TVH scan tables get installed to here I believe....
/usr/share/tvheadend/data/dvb-scan/
