Running tvheadend on VMware

Added by Per Jørgensen over 4 years ago

Hi Group.
I have a TVheadend server up and running - and wanting to move to a Virtual Machine?
I have installed the VM and installed the Tuner(USB) - But when I'm scanning I get this message - eventhough I can see there's signal etc on the tuner and enough signal for scanning channel

These tuners are working fine ( when I used them for MythTV) but Its a bit tricky since I don't find any channels when scanning. I have my connection for CA oscam - so are able to descramble if any channels are encrypted - but I just do not get why I don't are able to scan any channels on the initial startup ! Any ideas here - or is the problem when running VMware?

When using w_scan - I'm just getting this output

trying 'S f = 10841 kHz V SR = 24500 7/8 0,35 QPSK (0:0:0)'
(time: 01:12.902)
trying 'S f = 10872 kHz H SR = 24500 7/8 0,35 QPSK (0:0:0)'
(time: 01:18.249)
trying 'S f = 10872 kHz V SR = 24500 7/8 0,35 QPSK (0:0:0)'
(time: 01:26.424)
trying 'S2 f = 10903 kHz H SR = 25000 3/4 0,AUTO 8PSK (0:0:0)'

The same issue when using another USB Tuner I have --> Montage Technology M88DS3103 - but still the same error - this must have something to do when running on VMware !
