No tuners available

Added by David Coad over 12 years ago

Hi,

I was using TVHeadend in testing in a virtual machine of XBMCbuntu on Windows 7. I was able to identify and tune a few different usb tuners. (Avermedia and Leadtek Winfast).

I then took the leap and install Ubuntu 11.10 over Windows 7, ridding my house of the Redmond scurge.

Only problem is that TVHeadend does not see any USB tuners in the TV Adaptors section.

I tried a few different tuners and nothing. I do see the USB tuners by name when I do a lsusb in terminal, so Ubuntu can see them.

Any ideas?

Dave

Hi,

Are the devices listed in /dev/dvb ?

Best is to first try if you can use the adapters using the regular DVB-tools or using Kaffeine.
(just to make sure the adapters really work, including the right firmware.)

Alex.
