Any advantage of disabling services and EPG channels that I do not need?

I was fiddling with my TVH settings and noted that you can disable services and EPG channels - is there any advantage of doing this (if they are for channels that I do not need) or should I leave them all alone?

I was wondering whether there might be some RAM advantage of doing this.
