Tvheadend

If a recording scheduled with the Series Link option is missed one one OTA channel will Tvheadend automatically record it if it is available on a different channel?
Or do I need to schedule recordings on multiple channels to ensure the episode gets recorded?
If detailed information is available (in layman's terms) on how the different recording options work I'd appreciate a link.
