ffmpeg pipe question
Added by Lisa White almost 6 years ago
I am piping a single mux (pipe:///usr/bin/ffmpeg -i etc) and it seemed to solve my buffering issue. Is there a way that I can pipe all my iptv muxes at once if I would reload the m3u list in the automatic network? Something like pipe:///usr/bin/ffmpeg -i file:///home/m3u/proider.m3u -c copy -f mpegts pipe:1? My m3u list is mounted within the root. All the muxes load fine but I am trying to accomplish the pipe without having to edit the mux to do the modification manually. Thoughts?

Well, I thought the pipe solved the problem but it did not. I am confused. I have 400mbps ethernet connected to ubuntu 18.04 with tvheadend. I am getting frequent buffering. I disconnected the ethernet and I am running 2g wireless at 60mbps. Buffering is minimal. Internet Speed test shows 420mbps. Is there somethings that I am missing? I was under the impression that the 400 mbps internet speed would give the best performance for a non buffering system. My router is the Netgear R9000. Is my internet speed too powerful, and if so, is there a way that I can throttle it down to work? Thoughts?
