Missing Channels on HD Homerun Connect DVB-T2

Added by Jon _ over 6 years ago

Hi

I seem to have a bunch of channels that aren't being picked up by TVH from my HDHomerun Connect DVB-T2 - notably the Channel 4+1 HD, 4Seven HD and a few others.

TVHeadend reports 156 services on the HDHR Network. HDHR itself says that there are 177 channels in it's lineup. I can tune to the missing channels via the HDHR client on my laptop and watch the channels OK with no picture breakup, and from a normal television so I don't think it's a low signal issue.

I've tried deleting the network and re-adding it, forcing MUX scans, rebooting etc and the channels don't seem to want to scan. I have 2 MUXes that report as scanning failed with 0 services, so possibly the missing channels are hiding in one of these but for some reason TVH is failing it?

Just looked up, one of the two muxes that fails contains the missing channels, as best as I can tell the definition of the MUX in TVH matches the definition shown on ukfree.tv (Mendip transmitter). Looking at the logs I see:

2018-03-09 08:45:35.608 subscription: 6A40: "scan" subscribing to mux "570MHz", weight: 2, adapter: "HDHomeRun DVB-T Tuner #0 (IP)", network: "HD Homerun", service: "Raw PID Subscription"
2018-03-09 08:47:30.713 mpegts: 570MHz in HD Homerun - scan no data, failed

Any suggestions? TVH version 4.2.5-46~g06613a2

Jon

For anyone else that's having a similar issue - it seems that the MUX frequencies have been altered, HDHR has picked this up OK, but TVH doesn't want to - perhaps the definition for Mendip needs to be updated?

ARQA is now on channel 33 (was 56) - change the MUX that was on 754MHz and failing to 570MHz
COM7 is now on channel 36 (was 33) - change the MUX that was on 570MHz and failing to 594MHz

Hope this is of use to someone else!
