PCTV 460e USB tuners do not show up in TVHeadend on Synology DS1511+

Hi,

I have just installed a fresh version of tvheadend and the 2 USB tuners I have connected to my Synology (PCTV 460e) do not show up in the DVB inputs section.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can try?
I am not an expert in Linux so a beginners tutorial would be great if there is one.
ive tried to search the forum without success.

I thought that the Synology Video Station might be hogging the USB tuners in some way as DTV function was enabled on that application and it could see the tuners (and list the channels), so I disabled the DTV function, restarted synology and then stopped the video station package and restarted again but tvheadend still does not see any tuners.

on other threads people are looking in dev/vb/adaptor0. can someone tell me how to navigate to this folder to check what is in there?
Im a bit of a newbie when it comes to Linux.

Hmh, if you can see the tuners in Videostation, that's a good sign. Stop the Tvheadend package. Start the Videostation package and launch the application. Check whether the tuners are still recognized. If they are, close the Videostation application, but keep the Videstation package running. Then launch the TVH package again and launch the Web-interface. Do you see the tuners now?
