Pannasonic MN88473 / HANTEK / ASTROMETA - w scan working TVH cant find anything...
Added by Blejo Kosic almost 7 years ago
Hi all,
Getting really mad about this one, so I bought Astrometa DVBT/T2/C usb stick, it has Realtek RTL2832P and Pannasonic MN88473 (2014 revision of MN88472).
After installing TVH in the DVB Adapters tab, all seems fine, both chips are registered, but when scaning muxes for DVBT2 nothing is found.
So here comes the strange part after first reboot of the server (after the TVH installation) TVH does not see the MN88473 chip anymore.
W_Scan is working from the start and after the reboot it scans and finds services, first I was working on debian distro, I am now on a second install Ubuntu 16.04 and the same thing happens after the first reboot.
After much searching and trying out different things i found out installing media_build patch from this thread https://tvheadend.org/boards/5/topics/13685 - this is for XBOX one usb stick, which uses the same DVB demudulator (Pannasonic MN88473) in combination with http://palosaari.fi/linux/v4l-dvb/firmware/MN88473/01/2014-09-30/dvb-demod-mn88473-01.fw restores MN88473 in DVB Adapter tab, but still nothing found when scanning mux, W scan is still working good after all changes ive made, this is on debian, on ubuntu installing xbox drivers just screwes everything up.
Any ideas?
Can anyone recommend DVBT2 adapter that works with TVH ?

Not sure why W_scan works and TVH not with your Astrometa DVBT/T2/C usb stick.
I am using this USB stick: http://sundtek.com/shop/Digital-TV-Sticks-oxid/Sundtek-MediaTV-Pro-DVB-C/T/T2-FM-Radio-AnalogTV.html.
Use it with DVB-C and TVH; works very well for me. Have not tried DVB-T or DVB-T2.

I sense a deeper problem than TVH.
w_scan -x otuput is strange, the file contains 0 HZ as frequency have a look below.

Why you use DE when scan in Serbia?

There is RS

Also keep in mind that there is dvb-t2
