SAT > IP server software

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but if I have a satellite STB with a NIC, can I turn this into a SAT>IP server and connect it up to my TVheadend server to create an IPTV network?

Since I have a device with a DVB-S2 connector, I'd prefer to use that, if possible, rather than buying a seperate USB DVB-S2 stick..

What is CPU of STB to see is it possible or what alternatives you have.

I have several, but not with me at the moment. I was mainly asking if it was possible in principle...

The STBs I have include a Mecool KIII Pro (Android based), Vigica C90S, OpenBox S6000HD and Skybox V5.
