Tvheadend

There are plenty of IPTV streams on the internet, which deliver tv streams. If those streams are opened in VLC and played with a repeat feature, then they play well.

If I add the stream to tvheadend as an IPTV service it will start to play nicely, but then it freezes after 5-10-20 seconds. Once the stream times out it can be started again for another 5-10-20 seconds.

Is there any way to keep the connection alive?

I know most of those streams are not exactly legal, my goal is to replace my cable provider's SD Pro7 with a HD Pro7 stream.
