Questions about tvh digital video recorder tab and submenus Upcoming/Current Finished Failed and Removed
Added by Brent Bolin about 7 years ago
Only use OTA recordings with tvh
Currently using autorecs rules for EPG guide shows
Upcoming/Current is self evident
Finished is self evident
Failed assume hardware failure, disk space issues, broadcast etc...
Removed is unclear to me
I have noticed when scheduling more shows then available tuners a failed recording will show up under upcoming/current recordings. Also error messages in the webUI and syslog:
message repeated 334 times: [ subscription: 0018: No input source available for subscription "DVR: ~
When this happens the failed icon will eventually disappear(found this out with a browser refresh) and shows up in removed recordings
Understand the issue of not enough tuners or setting priorities etc... Been a user of MythTV for over 15 years.
So when this happens does it need to be removed manually? It's NOT removing the autorecs rules right?
Also as you can see above with message repeated 334 times appears to really clog things up with events that happen all the time.
Any input would be appreciated

Removed is for files that are no longer on disk.

You should be seeing "No free tuner" in cases where there aren't enough tuners.
"No input source available for subscription" can be raised when no tuners are enabled, have no network assigned, the service is no longer available (on that frequency/mux), or (the more likely situation guessing by the error spam) where your tuner only supports a limited number of stream pids at a time "hardware filtering".
