Stream profile on a per channel basis
Added by Bob Hruska about 7 years ago
I have a few channels in my list that I would like to transcode differently than all the others.
Ideally I'd like to be able to apply a different "default" streaming profile to individual channels.
i.e. Almost all channels use the default stream profile, but channels A, B, and C use the webtv-h264-aac-matroska profile.
Everything I have found so far has only let me set this globally for all channels.
Is there some way to transcode individual channels differently?

If you're using http url you can do
http://url:9981/play/stream/<hash>?profile=webtv-h264-aac-matroska
If not you can setup a new user/match by ip that has the profile forced.

None of this works.
I've tried creating users, forcing stream profile to them, but whatever I try I get "pass" stream profile URL.
How to get other stream profiles?
Please, anyone?!

OK, seems I've found the problem.
Problem was that I've had an "*" user with "*" password, which by TVH manual was made for open access to TVH from anywhere in the network.
But this made a problem because all users would open the default profile, and adding user:password on the beggining of a stream URL wouldn't work.
Now when I've disabled that user and left other users set for another stream profiles + administrator everything works fine.
I'm calling it like this now and it works:
http://user:pass@url:9981/play/stream/<hash>
I've created several users per each profile.
EDIT 1:
While opening an TVH URL with some other user and selecting profile with "?profile=" option doesn't work at all, it still opens a default (pass) streaming profile!
