Hardware transcoding with ATI GPU
Added by Lalyu Lalev over 7 years ago
Hello
I'm using TVH from mounts and I love it Thanks to all involved in it's development and support!
But I have a small problem - is it possible to use ATI GPU for hardware accelerated transcoding? I've done my research and I was able to find a lot information about Intel integrated GPUs, Nvidia cards but nothing for ATI... DO you guys have some tutorial/guide which I can check/try? This will help me at least with making my TimeShift no so HDD hungry
Thanks!

There is a less information about then anything else.
Only information for Playing, aka Video Decode (VDPAU/OpenMax/VAAPI) on UVD,
and nothing about Encoding, compressing under linux with Video encode (OpenMax) on VCE
more info
I hope mr. Linus Torvalds, bring up correct finger to AMD soon,
as before he do to nVidia
/@Lalyu Lalev as I say in dtv-bg forum no hope soon/
