Tvheadend

My ubuntu system was on 4.1-unstable for quite some time. Now that 4.2 came out it stayed on the unstable and now I'm getting 4.3 builds. I'm concerned that the 4.3 builds might be a bit unstable and am thinking I should stay on 4.2. Can I just uninstall 4.3 and install 4.2 without damanging my install or do I need to do some other steps to preserve my current config and recordings to go back to 4.2?
