Very buggy since upgrading to the latest master (4.3)

I was using 4.1 very reliably for a long time. I thought i would upgrade it so i pulled and built tvheadend_4.3-45

Since then i've have the following issues.

1. Kodi wont play certain tv channels anymore. the kodi log just states "ERROR: CSelectionStreams::Get - failed to get stream". If I use vlc then the channels work fine.
2. I get orphaned connections that continue to stream even though the client has been turned off. Even when i restart the tvheadend service they still appear. I have to disconnect them manually. (this might be part of problem 1)

I'm thinking of reverting to my older working version tvheadend_4.1-2483 but thought I'd check if theres something I can do to fix it

I think it is the same issue. i've reverted to the earlier working version as its solid for now.
Last thing i want is a nagging mrs when the tv isnt working.
