Major bugs fixed (pull request or patches) but fix not comitted. Time for a new maintainer or a fork?

Bug 555 is a major bug as mkv produced by tvheadends are completely bogus and for sure do not respect matroska format definition.
While software player are able toplay the bogus mkv, all hardware DMP/DMR (TV, ...) refuse to play them. As we were working hard to issue a fix, EKAas proposed to records as TS and did a pull request. We have since then issued a fix for the bug 555 available as a patch in the bug.
None of those fixes have been commited yet. Andreas is busy doing showtime if you look at the his github activity but did not commit anything since 20 spetember (except two patches noone complained about to be fair).
So my question is when is the current situation expected to resolve? I know its open source and volunteer work but this does not preclude to have so roadmap.

Yes I know. Now the TS recording patch including the fix for eac3 streaming from web interface would be nice 5opull request exist). I also think the code for dealing with changing time leading to new event and problem for automatic recording would be nice (pull request also exist).
