How to determine if a hardware pid filtering is really working ?

I still have issues with my Skystar S2 card.

Looks promising, but when I reduced "Maximum PIDs" in tuner configuration tab I can not see any difference in bandwidth usage.
Is hardware pid filtering really working in my case ?
