Create Recording out of timeshift data

Not sure if it is ok to post feature ideas here.

Inspired by an E2 feature I think it would be nice to have an option to create a recording out of timeshifted data. Lets see I am watching a program for an hour, then I will have the full program recorded as timeshift data (if the buffer is long enough). Now I would like to decide to actually record the program. If I dot his currently, timeshift data is lost and I cannot seek back any more. Is it understandable what I mean?

I'm pretty sure this is what this feature request would enable :)

That will be great!

Is someone working on it? I could help testing it. I could configure a clean Linux server if someone need to compile and test it.
