Add Manual Mux - Why Network ID 65535?

Added by Kevin J about 8 years ago

Hi, I have created a DVB-C Network and specified the Network ID scanning to be 41041. I then assign the network to an adapter, then go to Muxes and add a manual mux. When I create the manual mux, every time the Original Network ID and Transport Stream ID are always 65535 and I cant fins anywhere I can change them, and the Scan Result always is FAIL.
Why is the Original Network ID and Transport Stream ID always 65535?

Kind regards.

65535 is the largest 16bit number, why that's relevant to tvheadend is anybody's guess, but I've just checked my muxes and I have a number (4000+) muxes, created by importing an IPTV playlist, which have 65535 as the network ID and transport stream ID and it has no functional impact on the stream working or not.

I have this exact same issue. Did you ever figure it out? The only failed muxes are when the provider's network is and transport stream is are both 65535. I'm running tvh 4.2.4.
