Channel recording priority problem
Added by el Paraguayo about 8 years ago
Hi,
I'm new to TVHeadend having used MythTV for about 8 years. I've been having some issues with MythTV so thought about giving TVH a go and I like what I'm seeing.
I'm having issues with a recording and I must be doing something stupid. I'm scheduling a recurring recording for Match of the Day on BBC and would prefer to record the SD version rather than HD. I've set the HD channel's priority to -1 but the scheduler is still preferring this channel over the SD version.
The Autorec option says "Channel: Don't care".
Can someone help explain what I've done wrong?
I know I could fix this by using the SDTV tag but it seems that the priority should work here too.
Thanks,
elP

I've done a few tests and can confirm that the service priority isn't working as expected, but there is a workaround, Set the "Preferred service video type:" option in Config -> Stream -> Stream Profiles (might want to create a new profile) and use that in the DVR Profile.
But please do open an issue. :p

Mark,
Happy to open an issue.
However, can you expand on your other suggestion - I don't see anything about "Preferred service video type" in Stream Profiles.
Thanks.
