Hi,
I'm new to this forum, rather old (+72 years) and non nativ english speaker. Pls. keep that in mind.
Problem and environment description:
My local cable provider (UPC Austria) will move from analog to digital channels on their cable. This will happen early next year. Up to recently we only used analog devices (TV sets, DVD-recorder, ...). As a first step we replaced the CRT analog TV set in our living room with a newer one, that has a digital tuner built in. UPC offers a Minit-TV package to all customers for free. This package includes approx. +60 TV channles and +70 radio channels. All others are encoded. I've setup the new TV set without any problems, all Free-TV and Free-Radio channels where recognized and can be watched or listened.
My next step aims to replace the existing analog DVD-recorder with a Raspberry Pi3 running OpenELEC (or something similar) with tvheadend as a backend server, Attached to the RPi3 is a PCTVtriple Stick e292, well recognized by OpenELEC. There is NO predefined MUX to use. According to information found online UPC uses Base Frequenzy 306 MHz, Symbolrate 6900 and QAM-modulation 256. A manual MUX addition creates +500 services, a lot are encrypted and therfore useless to me. I only want to use the none encrypted ones.
UPC, the cable provider, has a list of channels and channel numbers the living room TV set uses to arrange the available programms. After tvheadend scaned the mux, all the services found during scan have Logical channel number 0 and I miss a way to sort and arrange all channels the same way as the TV set.
What information do you need to help me solve my problem?
BTW, I've tried OSMC instead of OpenELEC without success. OSMC does not find the PCTV triple Stick e292 adapter.
