is the DVBLink TVButler stick compatible ?
Added by Axel Meier over 8 years ago
Hi,
last year I bought the DVBLink TVButler package to get a PVR and also
stream the tv signal into my LAN. I'm totally disappointed about it and so
I want to try the TV Headend software.
Unfortunately I only have the DVBLink TVButler stick.
Is it compatible with TV Headend or do I have to buy a another stick ?
Do you have some recommendations or tips for me ?
eh, sorry, I forgot: I have a Synology DS415 Play
thanks, Duke

Even the dvblogic website says it supports Linux, so yes, in theory it should work fine, there are even packages for Synology devices made available by third parties however there are reports of issues with DSM 6.0+.
Links to info / packages:
https://synocommunity.com/package/tvheadend

Please be aware that these are third party packages and are not supported at all by the Tvheadend developer(s). This does not mean you won't get any support at all, but it basically means that any crashes or issues will be hard to resolve and you will more than likely have to ask the package maintainer for assistance.
HTH and good luck!
