Simple Way To Re-tune
Added by Daniel Holliday over 8 years ago
Hi All, Hope you can help.
I have an unusual setup (may be). I run TVHEADEND on a raspberry pi 3 in my caravan, and use Kodi on my MS Surface Pro to watch the TV.
We obviously travel around a lot and I need to re-tune my TV every time we move. At the moment the best way I've found is to delete all channels and service and force a rescan, and then auto map the channels. I do this through the web interface, and normally at the point I want to watch the TV.
I do a full scan of all UK mutexs as I don't know what receiver is the closest and don't always have an internet connection to check, which takes a longtime, but I'm guaranteed to get all available channels, so don't mind the time.
My question is.
Can I do this with a script and if so how? Or am I going about this the wrong way and is there an easier way to do it.
What I trying to achieve: is when my raspberry pi powers on it should do a full re-scan and remove any channels no longer available and add all new channels. The equivalent of me re-tuning my TV. So when I come to watch the TV it's already tuned, with all available channels.
Hope that is clear and you can help.
