Tvheadend not scanning C band channels correctly
Added by Info Barra over 8 years ago
Hi guys
i have been using TVheadend for the last couple of months and since i have started i have not managed to scan DVB-S/S2 C band channels out of the box with the
sat lists configured in the /usr/share/dvb folder.
after selecting the Pre-defined muxes: on the network config it stars scanning the channels but it does not work at all, it allways fails scanning the channels.
Btw i am using only TBS tunner cards TBS8920, TBS6904, TBS6981 and none can scan the channels out of the box.
The LNB i am using its a Low Noise Block Downconverter Feeder
frequency operation 950 MHz to 2050 MHz
LNBF- C Band
Frequency: 3.6GHz ~ 4.2GHz
N.F.: 12K
Gain: 65dB
the thing is the C band channel frequencies on the sat list dont work, and i have tried selecting Advanced non universal LNBs
with the following frequencies
# StarOne C3 @ 75.0W # freq pol sr fec S 3648000 V 04285000 AUTO S 3657000 V 06620000 AUTO S 3653000 V 04710000 AUTO S 3655000 H 06620000 AUTO S 3629000 H 06620000 AUTO S 3711000 H 03200000 AUTO S 3644000 V 04440000 AUTO S 3638000 H 04440000 AUTO
But it does not work, the only available option that allows me to SCAN the TPs manualy is selecting the LNB universal on the DVB card config.
then i need to apply the following maths calculation
5150 = C band
9750 = KU universal LNB band
5150 - 3648 = 1502
9750 + 1502 = 11252 Frequency
So final config on XLM sat list file is
S 1125200 V 04285000 AUTO
this way it allows me to scan the transponder on TVheadend only if using on the DVBcard adapter Satellite config: Universal LNB only
Is this a bug on TVheadend? can it really scan just C band frequency out of the box ? i am using tvheadend 4.1.1777
any ideas of what i can do or maybe possible to add code to the SVN to apply the calculation automatically from the C banda frequency input on the DVB-S sat lists?
