Exporting M3U Playlist with Channel Numbers

I've recently discovered two things; that TVHeadend can export an M3U playlist and that my LG TV can take a feed from TVHeadend and display channels within its IPTV app.

This is great but the channel numbers are simply ordered sequentially starting with 1 (the order of the channels is correct based on how I set them up in TVH but BBC One is channel 1 instead of 101).

Does the M3U format support channel numbers and if so, is there any way to get TVHeadend to export them?
